## Computer Readiness
Please review the following resources to ensure your technology is ready to support your online learning:
- [Getting Tech Ready.](https://apps.3cmediasolutions.org/oei/modules/tech/index.html) (included in Quest for Online Success)
- [Computer Readiness Test.](https://apps.3cmediasolutions.org/oei/tools/computer-readiness.html)
Did you catch the advice about browser choice in the first tutorial? SWC recommends that you use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and/or Microsoft Edge with Canvas. Safari will be fine in many situations, but Internet Explorer is an obsolete browser and should not be used.
## Course Technology
In this class, you'll need reliable computer and internet access to work through module content, interact in discussions, and submit your work. Computers are available for student use on campus, including in the Library and Academic Success Center, and you can also borrow equipment through [SWC CONNECTS](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd9-0V_7H7Vw9IBDAObXOx1JvDcSfL_t6JXRpQvJZ73QEPB1g/viewform).
In addition, you may want access to a webcam to participate in office hours and VoiceThread. The [Online Learning Center.](https://www.swccd.edu/locations/online-learning/index.aspx) offers free checkout of webcams and USB headsets; visit the OLC in room 64-344, on the top floor of the library.
You will also need software to save documents in the .docx format used by Microsoft Word. You can use your SWC Google Drive or get Word and the rest of [Office 365.](https://www.swccd.edu/administration/institutional-technology/applications-and-software/office-365/office-365-for-students.aspx) free through SWC!
