## Classroom Etiquette The Southwestern recording studio is, above all, a learning institution. Education is the primary focus of all activities within the studio and respect for one another is paramount. The instructor holds ultimate authority in setting learning expectations and determining the use of the space.  ## A Professional Mindset We are striving to emulate a a professional studio working environment, which comes with responsibility. A graded assessment will occasionally be administered to evaluate your understanding and participation. ## Curiosity is Key We encourage you in the development of an ‘independent learner' mindset. This means taking accountability for your progress, actively seeking out answers, and growing beyond the classroom.” Be creative in your learning approach and have fun with it! Don’t be afraid to use AI to quiz yourself and reinforce what has been presented. We may not always have time to review or explain everything in class, so it’s in your best educational interest to proactively engage with the material. Music is a social activity.
