As outlined in the class [[Grading]] criteria, quizzes and exams are worth 30 percent of your grade. # Practice Quizzes (For your benefit) The course website is filled with resources that assist with quiz taking. Use the search bar to look for headings like "Quiz Questions" and "Quiz Answers" to help jump start your preparation. # In-Class Quizzes (40 percent of assessment grade) At the start of several classes, you will have a quiz to assess your understanding of the material from the previous session. These will generally be closed-note. This quiz also influences your attendance record—taking it after the designated period will result in a lower quiz grade. # Take Home Quizzes (30 percent of quiz grade) These quizzes will be assigned to you on Canvas and due at a specific time, where you are free to spend more time answering each question. # Exams (30% of Assessment Grade) There will be two major exams: a mid-term and a final.
