Southwestern College students can transfer to UCSD and have a great education.
[The Bachelor of Arts in Music](https://music-cms.ucsd.edu/ugrad/music-major.html) serves as an ideal transfer pathway for students in the Commercial Music program. Similarly, the [Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts (ICAM)](https://music-cms.ucsd.edu/ugrad/icam-major.html) is well-suited for those from Southwestern College's Commercial Music program and also students from the Recording Arts and Technology program.
# Faculty
UCSD is highly regarded for its innovative approach to experimental music, but it also has distinguished faculty with expertise in traditional music disciplines. King Britt, who directs the ICAM program, was the groundbreaking DJ for Diggable Planets and maintains a successful Instagram presence that includes collaborations with artists such as Common and Solange. Kamau Kenyatta, who leads UCSD's jazz program, is a two-time Grammy Award-winning vocal producer, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. He frequently collaborates with the RA&T program at Southwestern College.
