Plug-in parameters do not appear on the track view selector by default. We have to specify these parameters to be included. There are a few different ways to do this.
## Enabling Automation for a Parameter
### Keyboard Shortcut Method
Holding down Control, Option, and Command and then clicking on a parameter within an interface will allow you to enable automation for that particular parameter. If the plug-in is made by Avid, the parameter light will appear underneath, turning green (or sometimes red), to indicate that the parameter has been successfully automation-enabled. Once enabled, you can access and edit the automation data for the parameter via the track view selector.

### Plug-in Automation Enable Menu
Alternatively, you can use the Plug-in Automation Enable menu within your plug-in to enable or disable multiple parameters.

## Shortcut for Changing Track View Selector to Reflect Automated Parameter
Assuming you've already enabled the automation for a parameter for above, you don't need to click the track view selector to view the automation on the track. You can instead hold down the option and command keys and click the parameter.

You can also cycle through different track views within the track view selector by holding down Control and Command and using the left and right direction keys.

Once the parameter is enabled for automation, you can issue automation either using read or write/touch/latch methods.
