A nice workflow involves nudging clips. You can nudge clips using the left and right angle brackets. Using the angle brackets to nudge only works if you have link timeline and edit selection selected. See the video below.

## Changing Nudge Increment Value
You can change the increment by which clips are nudged by adjusting the nudge increment. You can use the keyboard shortcuts Option + Shift + "-" or Option + Shift + "+" to modify the nudge increment, or you can access the menu option directly. See the video below for more details.
## Nudging with Timeline and Edit Selection Unlinked
I actually prefer nudging without my timeline and edit selection being linked. My workflow involves playing the track from a specific spot repeatedly and nudging the clip. By unlinking timeline and edit selection, I can experiment with changing the clip's position without affecting the playback start point. However, to utilize this workflow, you need to use the numeric keypad nudging shortcuts, specifically Numpad Plus and Numpad Minus.

## Changing Keyboard Shortcuts
To change a keyboard shortcut, you can access the keyboard shortcut dialog. Since I often work on a laptop keyboard without a numeric keypad, I sometimes prefer to use the angle bracket buttons for the numpad nudging workflow. To do this, I can press Control + Shift + K or navigate to Setup > Keyboard Shortcuts, where I have the flexibility to modify the keyboard shortcuts as needed.

Searching for "Nudge" yields all the shortcuts and features associated with it. I can then reassign the Nudge shortcut for the selected features to match my desired behavior. It is better to use. akeyboard with a numpad for the insudstry standard workflow, but that's not always possible.
