The Clip List contains a wealth of information about the clips in your projects. It shows the names of all the clips and their original file names and formats, helping you manage and organize your project efficiently.
## Selecting Clips
If you drag clips from your Clip List onto your track, they will be highlighted to indicate their position on both the timeline and the Clip List.
## Whole Clips vs Subset Clips
The whole clips are listed in bold. These are the original clips that you bring in, representing the actual audio files. Deleting these from your Clip List can potentially delete them from your computer altogether. When you make edits to a clip, references to the main clip are created in the form of subset clips. The computer recognizes that the data of the subset clip is part of the whole clip, and to save space, it does not duplicate the audio data. Instead, it references the original file, allowing you to make non-destructive edits while conserving storage. You might need to enable the filter within the Clip List to see all of these clips. See the video below for the process in action.
