Generating a click track is a method to guarantee that all your musical elements align with the grid and adhere to a specific tempo. ## Creating a Click Track To create a click track navigate to _Track_ > _Create Click Track_ __ ## Enable Midi Controls To determine whether the click track is activated or deactivated, it's crucial to ensure that the MIDI controls are visible. Without them, the click track status won't be visible. Please refer to the video below for more guidance. ![[ProTools - View Midi Controls.mp4]] ## Enable Metronome To activate the Click Track, you can either click the metronome button located in the MIDI Controls section or press the numeric keypad's number 7.  ## Start Transport to Hear Click Track You'll only hear the click track when the transport is in motion. To experience this, simply initiate playback, and you'll notice the click sound syncing with the bars and beats displayed in the transport view.
