## Navigate to Gear Manuals Folder Within the RAT Studio Protocols Folder, locate and navigate to the folder named RAT Gear Manuals. All “manual labor” will be conducted in this directory.  ## Navigate to the folder describing correct gear type Ensure that the manual you are adding is placed within the correct subdirectory based on its gear type. For example, if it's a drum machine like the Roland RD6, place it in the "Drum Machines" folder.  ## Create folder for each piece of unique gear Call this folder `Brand Name` `Model` For example, Behringer RD8 ### Import Factory Manual(s) to Correct Directory Make a folder with the item with format `Brand Name` `Model` - Manual For example Behringer RD8 - Manual If there are multiple factory manuals, label them `Brand Name` `Model` - Manual 2, etc. ## Create a Studio Guide within Directory This document contains relevant information about gear for the studio.  The studio manuals are often either ultra condensed or too verbose for practical use in getting started quickly. Document the key points: elevator pitch style. How would you explain how to use this piece of gear in 30 seconds? Format it `Brand Name` `Model` - Studio Manual For example, Behringer RD8 - Studio Manual ## Using Headings Make sure to use Headings to disambiguate key points so that a table of contents appears.  Use Heading 1 for larger sections and Heading 2, Heading 3, etc. for sub-points. ## Key headings you might include - Important emergency protocols to prevent damage to equipment - Troubleshooting procedure - What Cable to Use - How to Turn on and Off the Device - How to accomplish basic sound design - Different modes of operation - How to Sequence - How to save a patch - What power cable (with picture) - [ ] Finish migrating Studio Manuals onto Drive
