DAW Inputs Patch Point

The channel outputs are then connected to the DAW inputs. The images above and below illustrate how this setup will look. For now, we'll need to patch this manually.

Analog to Digital Converters

We use Focusrite REDNET 2 units as our analog-to-digital converters. The DAW INPUT patch points send the signal to these converters. The signal needs to be converted to digital so the computer can process it.

DAW Input on Computer

With the signal now converted to digital, a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like ProTools or Ableton is ready to record from the designated DAW input.
