Clip gain lets you adjust the volume of an individual clip. It's a convenient method for changing levels because you can instantly see the waveform's changes as you adjust the clip gain.

Adjusting Clip Gain of Individual Clip

Clip gain is only applicable to audio clips. To adjust a clip's gain, hover over the bottom left corner of the clip and click and drag the small fader up or down.Β

Adjusting Clip Gain of Multiple Clips

There is a shortcut for adjusting the clip gain of multiple clips simultaneously, which is very useful when you've already set the relative proportions of various clips but still want to lower them all together. To do this, hold down Control and Shift while moving your mouse wheel or trackpad up and down.
