- Normalize the console and exercise channels to ensure all are functioning properly, using Total Recall if needed.
- Check Correct Central Routing Panel Sections
- Assign Fader to Mix A using SSL Matrix
- Monitor Mix A using monitor section
- Adjust Monitor Level Dial to reasonable level (3-5)
- Check Channel Strip Routing
- Engage the tracking circuit (usually MIC)
- Engage the playback circuit (usually LINE)
- If using Split-Channel mode, both circuits will be engaged on the same channel strip.
- Engage Mix A on playback channel strips
- Have the metering reflect either Pre-DAW or Post-DAW
- When applicable, engage cue A and set to 75 percent, coordinating with Communications Team to ensure levels in Hearback are correct.
- Once the mic lines are patched into the channel inputs for a particular channel, apply phantom power to that channel (check with setup team)
- Set tracking levels by adjusting preamp levels and pads.
- Make sure to clear any ProTools overages and ensure that tracking levels never exceed -6 dBFS.
- Group elements together using the Center Faders
- Use Fader Links to link stereo elements together
- Mixing
- Perform console EQing and compression according to guidelines on the EQWise plugin or a resource like this EQ cheat sheetβ.
- When applicable, set FX send levels and coordinate with the Patchbay Team to ensure that signals are strong and healthy.

- Produce Rough Board Mix.
- Tear down and restore the default DualityRemote template, normalizing the console using total recall
